"Some elements wid ill Motive trying to do rumor mongering thru diff means including social ntwrkng Sites. Request to be cautious against them," the state police tweeted.

The advice from the police comes in the wake of recent reports of alleged clashes between two communities in certain areas in the state, including Hooghly and North 24 Parganas districts.
