'Jaanu meri jaan' refixed for 'Behen Hogi Teri'

IANS  |  Mumbai

Popular music producer Rishi Rich and singer Juggy D have got together to 'refix the popular 1990 song "Jaanu meri jaan" for the forthcoming film "Behen Hogi Teri".

Rishi has refixed the song and Juggy D has voiced it along with Raftaar and Shivangi, read a statement.

The film stars Rajkummar Rao and Shruti Haasan, who can be seen dancing to the peppy tune of "Jaanu meri jaan".

Rishi said: "I had a lot of fun working on 'Behen Hogi Teri'. It was quite a challenge to refix 'Jaanu meri jaan' because it is a classic and to make the song sound different and bring in that UK-American-Indian fusion flavour was a great experience. And Juggy, Raftaar and Shivangi are singing the track so we had a merry time."

Juggy D also said that he feels "honoured to be a part of this huge song which was originally created by the legends of Hindi music, Kishore ji, Rafi ji, Usha ji and Asha ji".

In the film, Rajkummar essays the role of Gattu, who works in a Jagran Mandali owned by Shruti's character's family.

Amul Vikas Mohan, the film's co-producer, hopes everyone likes the refix of "Jaanu meri jaan".

Produced by Tony D'souza, Mohan and Nitin Upadhyaya, the film is directed by Ajay K Pannalal. It is slated to release on June 2.
