President Pranab Mukherjee on Tuesday greeted Albania on its Liberation Day.
"I extend to you and to the people of Albania warm greetings and felicitations on the occasion of your Liberation Day," Mukherjee said in his message to Albanian President Bujar Nishani.
"Relations between our two nations are marked by warmth and cordiality. The revered Saint Mother Teresa's life and mission in India has brought our two nations closer," Mukherjee said in a statement issued here.
"Her recent canonization has been rejoiced equally in India and Albania. India is committed to the enhancement of our close cooperation in all areas of our shared interest to the mutual benefit of our two peoples."
Albania is a country in south-eastern Europe's Balkan Peninsula and celebrates its Liberation day on November 29.
