Recalling his association with Dave, Badnore said he was an esteemed colleague and an exceptional Member of Parliament dedicated to the cause of environment and sustainable development.

"Instrumental in bringing about a massive transformation in River Water Environment Conservation, Dave urged those living near the Narmada to opt for chemical-free farming. He also initiated radical steps necessary to stop the use of chemical fertilisers in agriculture as it was causing irreparable damage to vital organs," Badnore pointed out.
The Governor said that officers in Chandigarh have been directed to initiate a plantation drive dedicated to Dave.
