A Sub-Inspector of police committed suicide by shooting himself with his service revolver in Siddipet district in Telangana on Wednesday, police said.
Prabhakar Reddy, who was serving at Kukunoorpally Police Station, shot himself in the temple in the police station in Kondapaka block.
Family members alleged that harassment by senior officials drove him to kill himself.
Hailing from Yadadri Bhongir district, Prabhakar was selected as Sub-Inspector in 2012. Last year, he was posted at the Kukunoorpally Police Station.
Prabhakar is the second Sub-Inspector to commit suicide at the same police station in 10 months.
Ramakrishna Reddy had shot himself in the police station on August 16, 2016. He had left a suicide note in which he had alleged that he was harassed by his superiors.
Prabhakar Reddy had replaced Ramakrishna Reddy in the police station.
