At least three labourers were killed after a heap of mud fell on them in Jharkhand's Simdega district on Saturday, police said.
According to the police, over 10 labourers were involved in a check dam construction work in Jagbahar village of Simdega district, around 140 km from Ranchi, when the incident occurred.
Six labourers were rescued and three bodies were recovered in a rescue operation following the incident.
Lack of precautionary measures is said to be the reason behind the incident, the police said.
