Madhya Pradesh records highest voter turnout

Voter turnout in 2008 was 69.08%

recorded the highest ever of over 70% in Monday's assembly election, the Commission said.

"voting is likely to exceed 71%, the highest ever turnout in the state," Deputy Commissioner Sudhir Tripathi told reporters.

The Commission said minor incidents of violence were reported from Bhind and Morena districts.

"A case was registered against state minister Ranjana Baghel in Dhar district for allegedly bribing voters," said Tripathi.
