Earlier in the week, Nobel laureate Amartya Sen had controversially criticized Modi, who has been advocating what is popularly known as the 'Modi model of governance'.

(United) leader Ali Anwar hit out at Chief Minister Modi for his model of governance, saying that the (BJP) leader has deteriorated the condition of the state.

Earlier in the week, Nobel laureate had controversially criticized Modi, who has been advocating what is popularly known as the 'Modi model of governance'. Sen had expressed his concerns regarding Modi as Prime Minister, saying that he had doubts over the Chief Minister's secular credentials.

Additionally, Sen told a television channel during an interview that Modi could have done more for 's education, health and for secularism, instead of focusing solely on physical infrastructure development in that state.
