International Tractors exports 500 units to Sri Lanka

International Tractors Limited, a group company of the Rs 5,000-crore Sonalika Group and a leader in the tractor industry, created a new landmark in Sri Lanka by exporting more than 500 units in the last financial year. The significant feat was achieved by appointment of island wide dealers and service outlets. Sonalika witnessed the assembly of supplied consignment comprising of 134 units and was satisfied with the infrastructural set up. The group has also expanded its units in order to increase the production capacity from 60,000 to 1, 00,000 tractors due to a strong demand across the globe.

Located on the southern coast of the Indian subcontinent, Sri Lanka has always been an attractive market for the tractor giant of India. Sonalika tractors are widely accepted by Sri Lankan farmers and the farmers were happy with the performance of Sonalika tractors along with Sonalika rotavators.

Being one of the top four tractors companies of India, Sonalika tractors have reached all four corners of the world. And wherever Sonalika went, they have proved everyone that they are nothing less than the best. This elucidates the great demand for Sonalika tractors all over the world. Currently, Sonalika tractors are available in more than 73 Countries including the United States, Brazil, Argentina, Uganda, Croatia, Indonesia, and Myanmar among many more.

Sonalika Group Managing Director – Shri Deepak Mittal, said, “Increasing customer demand for our new products have led us to expand our dealer footprint across the country. Sri Lanka has always been an important market for Sonalika, as a result of which we have been able to sell more than 500 units in last financial year.”

“It is a great achievement that our products are well-accepted and desired by both the farmer and the corporate segments, he added”.

Commenting on the occasion, Mr. Rajeev Pandey, Asia Head International Tractor Limited said, “Collaborating with M/S Micro Cars Limited in Sri Lanka is a big achievement as the tractors alliance is very much liked by the Sri Lankan people and they were confident that our tractors will help Sri Lankan farmers to improve their farm productivity.”

“Sonalika tractors are widely accepted all over the world & we are receiving the same response from Sri Lankan farmers especially our rotavators are getting highly accepted due to its high performance is a path breaking achievement," he added.
