JIMS organizes Workshop for PGDM Students on Challenges of Corporate World

Experts from GHRDC impart valuable tips to PGDM students for their future

Jagan Institute of Management Studies (JIMS), an institute of excellence in the field of management studies and IT education, recently organized a workshop for the fresh batch of its PGDM students at Rohini Campus.  To make them well versed with the challenges of corporate world that awaits students once they join the industry, JIMS provided this excellent opportunity for knowledge and idea exchange.

Conducted by the Global Human Resource Development Center (GHRDC), Center for Management Education & Research, the one-day workshop saw the assembly of industry think tank and experts from the field of Human Resource Management. Valuable experiences and important tips were shared by Ms.Mekhla Sinha, VP Operations & HR, Ms.Shivi Sharma, Manager – HR, Ms.Shraddha Mishra, Manager – HR from GHRDC.

On the occasion, Dr. J.K. Goyal, Director, JIMS, said, “We at JIMS recognize the value of industry exposure for your students in order to make them leaders of futuristic vision. Thus we organized this orientation workshop for our fresh crop of PGDM students to acquaint them with the industry trends and challenges waiting for them once they step into the corporate world. This workshop took them through the various aspects of an action plan that they should deploy for achieving success in years to come and also in their academic sessions to follow.”

The workshop was conducted to acquaint students to PGDM education world, addressing the hopes and fears they will come across during the journey. Their doubts were cleared by the GHRDC’s experts and the latter mentored the students for devising the action plan for their year ahead. The enlightening session at the workshop were well received by the young inquisitive minds who settled their anxiety towards new world and corporate expectations.
