Mirc Electronics Ltd., the makers of ONIDA and IGO range of products, announced the restructuring of its top management in alignment with the changing organizational needs and growth of growth of the company. The company has promoted its existing management with newer and additional responsibilities across marketing, sales, services, HR and operations.
Mr. K. Sriram has been entrusted with a new mandate of Vice President, Corporate Strategy with a focus on creating new opportunities for the organization, developing strategies to increase sales of existing businesses like mobiles phones and LED lights. He would also provide the overall brand direction and communication strategy for ONIDA. A former Vice President of marketing, sales and services at MIRC Electronics, Mr. Sriram has an experience of close to two years at the company with a total work experience of 17 years. He has worked with Unilever for 15 years across various departments, both in India and abroad and also brings along a rich experience in marketing and strategy.
Mr. Vipul Mathur, currently Group Business Head (Air conditioners) is now assigned the new role of Vice President, Marketing. However, he will still continue to spearhead the Air Conditioner business at ONIDA. Mr. Mathur has an experience of 20 years in the consumer durable industry and has been instrumental in growing ONIDA’s air conditioner business over the last few years. He has a significant experience in sales and product management and also heading the businesses.
A natural progression, Mr. Sanjeev .K. Jain has been elevated to the Vice President, Sales & Service. He was earlier the General Manager, Sales where as Mr. S. K. Dhoot takes over as the Vice President, Operations after the movement of Mr. C.R. Talathi out of the company. Mr. Dhoot has been assigned this new role after servicing the company as the Head of Strategic Sourcing and Manufacturing. Mr. Dhoot has been associated with the company for 19 years now as compared to his overall work experience of 29 years. He has handled various roles from operations, production, purchase, investor relations etc.
Mr. Manish Desai, GM, Finance & Accounts is also promoted to the Vice President, Finance. His responsibility will be equivalent to that of a Chief Financial Officer, a position which has been vacant at the company for quite some time.
Additionally, Mr. Sugato Palit has the new role as the Vice President, Human Resources. Sugato is an alumnus of XLRI with a total work experience of 16 years. He has lead the team in HR in companies such as Perfetti Van Melle, Seagram and Marico. He has been the recipient of several awards and accolades during his career including the Global Award for Best HR Practices, Key Innovator Award and has also been recognized as being one of India’s best HR Leaders by a leading business magazine in October of 2010. His core areas of interest lie in strategic business partnership, organizational structure and design, change management and talent management.
