'Confidence helps women hit their peak in mid-thirties'

Researchers in the UK found that it takes years of experimenting before women find a look they are happy and confident with. Most feel they are in their prime at 35.

The study, conducted for fashion retailer CC, found that one in three women grew more comfortable with their appearance the older they become, while three out of four thought their style had improved over the years, the Daily Mail reported.

The study also found 59 per cent of women admitted they were guilty of dressing "too young for their age".

"There is an assumption that your looks and sense of style are at their peak in your late teens and early twenties, but this research shows that it can take a while before you find a style and image that suits," said a spokesman for CC.
