One person has been arrested in connection with the murder of a Class XII student at Kirbi Place in southwest Delhi in July.
Crime Branch sleuths arrested Laxman near Dwarka Sector 10 metro station on October 14. He was part of a group which beat Akash (22) to death with iron rods at Kirbi Place in broad daylight, Joint Commissioner of Police (Crime Branch) Ravindra Yadav said.
Traffic police personnel present at the spot had apprehended Gaurav and three others.
During interrogation, they revealed that Laxman was a member of Gaurav Jharera gang in southwest Delhi. Jharera is currently lodged in jail for killing one person in a gang-war.
The accused hopped from Delhi and Rajasthan to avoid arrest. Proceedings under Section 82 of CrPC have been initiated by court to declare him proclaimed offender, he said.
