3 held for betting on India-Pakistan cricket final

Three persons were arrested by the police for allegedly being involved in betting during the final match of the Champions Trophy.

Acting on a tip-off, a crime branch team raided a building at Alipur road in central Delhi's Civil Lines area, and nabbed Rajesh Kumar, Nitin Arora and Nitin Grover during the match held yesterday, said Madhur Verma, DCP Crime Branch.



During search, a suitcase having twelve mobile phones, one tablet and 3 were recovered from their possession, said the officer.

Two LCD screens and a video recorder were also recovered during the raid, he said.

A case has been registered at crime branch police station and further investigation was underway, the officer added.
