3 killed in separate accidents

Among the three killed was a homeguard who lost his life when his motorcycle hit a vehicle in west Delhi.

The 26-year-old homeguard was killed and his colleague critically injured when their motorcycle was hit by a vehicle in west Delhi's Multan Nagar.

While the homeguard was idetified as Vinay Kumar, the homeguard who was injured was identified as 27-year-old Mahender.

The two men were returning home to Sultanpuri from Kamala Market after duty when the accident occurred.

In a separate accident at Moolchand underpass in the early hours of the day, a motorcycle being ridden by a 21-year-old employee of a five-star hotel was hit by a DTC low floor bus.

 

The man identified as Vijay Choudhary was on his way to his home in Srinivaspuri when he was hit from behind by the bus, police said. He was rushed to a hospital but was pronounced dead.

The driver of the bus was arrested on the charge of rash and negligent driving, causing death.

Another casualty on the capital's roads was a truck driver who was killed after his speeding truck overturned in east Delhi's Mayur Vihar area.
