5 cops injured as car being driven by 'tipsy' man hits them

The incident took place near Akshardham temple in east at around 2 am.

The injured policemen were rushed to Lal Bahadur Shashtri Hospital. Three of them were discharged from hospital.

Five policemen were injured early this morning when a car driven by an allegedly tipsy man hit them when they were at a police picket checking vehicles in east Delhi, police said.

The incident took place near Akshardham temple in east at around 2 am.

The injured policemen were rushed to Lal Bahadur Shashtri Hospital. Three of them were discharged from hospital.
