Nearly one dozen armed miscreants looted over 500 gunny bags of wheat from the godown of State Warehouse Corporation in Batala, police said today.

Manager, PSWC, Major Singh manager lodged a complaint with the civil lines police station that armed miscreants forcibly entered the godown last night and tied hands and legs of two watchman of there. They broke CCTV cameras installed in the godown and looted 531 gunny bags of wheat which valued at RS 5.50 lakh, police said.



SP (Investigations) J S Saroya and other police officers inspected the spot and investigation is on , they added.
