He said the Congress would be further strengthened with the joining of Kataria and other Akali leaders and supporters. Kataria had left the Congress to join SAD in 2012, and decided to return to Congress fold. Jagmohan Singh 'Babbu' Ghuman, SAD ex-circle president Dasuya, was also among those who joined the Congress, giving the party a major boost in the Dasuya region, where he is said to have a strong hold.
