Angelina Jolie to direct 'Fifty Shades of Grey'

The 36-year-old actress recently made her directorial debut with well-reviewed Bosnian war drama "In the Land of Blood and Honey", reported Ace Showbiz.

It was reported that Universal Studios was said to be impressed by the A-lister's directorial debut. There may have been an informal conversation between the two parties.

Jolie herself is currently busy with "Maleficent". She is said to be "completely focused" on the fairytale movie and "isn't entertaining other offers at this moment."

Being included in the New York Times bestseller list, "Fifty Shades of Grey" follows a 21-year-old female college student Anastasia, who has a relationship with a wealthy entrepreneur named Christian.

Their relationship deepens in the book's sequels, "Fifty Shades Darker" and "Fifty Shades Freed".
