The International Daegu Fashion Fair of Asia Textile Fashion Forum, to be held in October in Daegu there, will showcase designs by fashion designers across the globe.

The selection was done after a thorough and strenuous process by the top officials of the Government of Republic of Korea which involved their extensive research and study of the Indian Fashion Industry.

"We are very happy to be part of this event. It is a matter of great pride," Leena said.

The city of Daegu has been serving as the capital of fashion and garment industry of Korea for more than 50 years.

Since 2006, Daegu Fashion Fair attracts more than 15,000 visitors around the globe, including top-notch designers and marketers.

This year's fair in Korea will emphasise on introducing authentic colors and designs, and inter-connecting genuine concepts and trends across the world.

The designer duo said they will try to showcase country's true heritage and beauty through their creation at the event.

'Ashima-Leena' is known for their design and embellishment that fuse periodic trends and modern style. The two sister-in-laws set it up in 1993.

The designers duo were also the part of opening and closing ceremonies of the Commonwealth Games held here between October 3-14, 2010.
