Balnatah replies to show cause notice, quits party committees

The letter written by him in reply to the show cause notice was available with a section of media but Balnatah said that he had sent the reply in a sealed envelop and it was intriguing that the same was leaked.

The core group of the BJP at its recent Chandigarh meeting had reportedly decided to take a lenient view in the matter but the leakage of the second letter has further fueled the infighting in the party.

In his letter, Balnatah had categorically denied that he had leaked the letter and indulged in indiscipline and rued that the state party chief Satpal Singh Satti had gone to the press without enquiring how the letter was leaked.

He further said that on January 7 some leaders of Rohroo had made allegations against him in a press conference burnt his effigy but action was taken against them for indiscipline.

He said he was deeply hurt by the attitude of the party was and resigning from Core committee, discipline committee and executive committee of the party forthwith adding that the party was free to take any action it deemed fit, against him.
