Body of Congress MP's nephew recovered

Joint Police Commissioner Sector-I Ajay Tomar said that Mayur was electrocuted while playing at the amusement fair on Sunday but the organisers fearing public outrage swiftly removed the body from the spot and took it to Palanpur district for disposal.

The Palanpur police yesterday confirmed that the body recovered by them was of Mayur, he said.

Three of the fair organisers Altaf Hussain, Sattar Khan and Prakash have been arrested in this connection and charged with murder under IPC 302, officials said.

The case has been handed over to city crime branch for further investigation.
