These filthy kitchen habits have been revealed in a 'One Poll survey' of 2,000 people, wherein more than a third (34 per cent) Britons admitted they thoroughly clean their kitchens once a year - a spring clean, for Christmas, or if guests are coming to stay.

Even after thorough cleaning, more than a quarter of Britons (26 per cent) admit that their kitchen was still somewhere between "dirty" and "not as clean as it could be," The Sun reported.

In an alarming sign, a quarter of Britons take less than ten minutes each day to give their kitchens a "thorough" clean, and a third of the country only cleans the kitchen once or twice per week.
