Brother-sister duo drown in pond

Two minor siblings drowned in a pond at Pochemaplli village in Krishna district, police said toady.

The mishap occurred last evening when Upendra (7) entered the pond along with buffaloes after grazing them in a field, police said, adding that Upendra' sister Triveni (11) also drowned in a bid to save her brother.



The bodies have been fished out from the pond, police said.

Upendra and Triveni were students of class III and VI, respectively.

A case of accidental death case has been registered by police.
