Car rams into two minors on Thane street; driver held

Two minors were seriously injured when they were allegedly hit by a car in Damani Estate area here, police said today.

The incident occurred last afternoon when Gunjal was allegedly speeding and lost control of the vehicle, which hit Jia Thakkar (6) and Parth Thakkar (6), both cousins.



The children were admitted to a private hospital in a serious condition.

Police have arrested the car driver, identified as Dilip Gunjal (37), in connection with the accident.

Gunjal was handed over to police yesterday by locals who gathered at the spot of the accident.

He has been booked under various sections of and Motor Vehicles Act.
