Centre's stand sought on plea for SIT probe into Sunanda's

The High today sought to know the stand of the Centre on leader Subramanian Swamy's plea for a court-monitored probe by the CBI-led SIT into the death of MP Shashi Tharoor's wife Sunanda Pushkar.

A bench of Justices G S Sistani and P S Teji, who did not issue notice in the matter, has said that it needs to hear the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA), the and the Police on the plea.

Swamy has alleged that "inordinate delay" has been caused in the investigation "which is a blot on the justice system".
