Chana futures slide 1.12% on profit-booking

Press Trust of India  |  New Delhi

Chana prices moved down 1.12 per cent to Rs 3,630 per in futures trade today as speculators booked profits at prevailing levels amid easing demand at the spot market.

At the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange, chana for delivery in May fell by Rs 41, or 1.12 per cent, to Rs 3,630 per with an open interest of 10,620 lots.

Similarly, the commodity for delivery in June declined by Rs 35, or 0.95 per cent, to Rs 3,641 per in 1,10,690 lots.

Analysts said besides profit-booking by participants at existing level, decline in demand in the physical market against sufficient stocks led to the fall in chana futures.
