Charas worth Rs 10 lakh seized, two held

On a tip-off, a police team intercepted a car in Kalyanpur area, DIG Kanpur Amitabh Yash said, adding, the two persons present in the vehicle were nabbed when they tried to flee.

10-kg charas was recovered from the duo -- identified as self-styled godman Rajan Baba and his son Narayan.

The accused had purchased the charas from Nepal and were on their way to supply the contraband in Kanpur when they were nabbed, Yash said.
