The annual civil military liaison conference between the Chandigarh Administration and the Army was held today at Western Command headquarters in Chandimandir. The meeting was co-chaired by Punjab Governor and UT (Union Territory) Administrator VP Singh Badnore and Lt.

Singh highlighted that the conference is organised to effectively coordinate and synergise joint efforts to resolve issues of mutual interest, a defence release quoted him as saying. He thanked Badnore for the wholehearted support to the defence forces and for the positive response in resolving a number of issues. Badnore complimented the armed forces for their role in nation building. He assured the Army and ex-servicemen community, including war widows of full support in all possible spheres. Various issues related to civil and military matters were deliberated upon, the release said.
