CM's advisor fired at, escapes unhurt

Press Trust of India  |  Dehradun

Unidentified miscreants fired at Chief Minister Harish Rawat's advisor Sanjay Chaudhry when he was travelling in Haridwar but he escaped unhurt.

Chaudhry's car was targeted about 6 kms from Purkazi late last night when he was on his way back from a private function, SSP Rajiv Swaroop said today.

The miscreants fired from behind the bushes, the SSP said, adding the official, however, had escaped unhurt.

The firing may have been a result of political rivalry, he said.
