The need for exercising caution while using mobiles phones to avert cyber attacks was today stressed at a workshop on cyber security and digital forensics here today.
Common man should be sensitised about the dangers of cyber terrorism, city Police Commissioner A Amalraj said inaugurating the two-day workshop at Bharathiar University here.
"All of us should be aware of the cyber threats happening in day-to-day life and plan accordingly to prevent them," he said.
University vice-chancellor, A Ganapathy said by virtue of its dynamic nature, cyber security required continuous tracking of evolving technologies globally and its alignment with a country's Research and Development objective and agenda.
Around 250 persons, including faculty, scholars and students are participating in the workshop.
