Cong will easily win the Bhornaj by-polls: Himachal CM

Press Trust of India  |  Hamirpur (HP)

Chief Minister today claimed that will easily win the by-elections to Bhornaj Assembly seat, which fell vacant after the sudden demise of leader Ishwar Dutt Dhiman earlier this month.

"is fully ready and united, and will easily win the seat," he told reporters here.

On distribution of tickets for the Assembly elections next year, Singh said, "Candidates from every section of the society will get tickets, and youth and women will get their due quota."

Claiming was on the back-foot after and because the entire Opposition had united against it, he said, "would hold demonstrations against demonetisationtomorrow."

"Decision to demonetise notes was taken in haste and was causing hardship to commoners. Farmers were worst sufferers as cooperative banks, mostly based in villages, are not allowed to exchange demonetised notes," Singh said.

He said he has apprised the central government of the situation in rural areas.
