Congress says party leaders framed in corporator murder case

The today alleged the police have falsely implicated party leaders from Warangal in the case of a corporator.

president N Uttam Kumar Reddy has written an open letter to Chief Minister in this regard.

In the letter, Reddy claimed "police have falsely implicated Warangal district president Nayini Rajender Reddy and two other leaders, Pothula Sreeman and Kanuganti Shekhar as "conspirators" in the case".

Reddy said those who committed the offence voluntarily surrendered in the police station and admitted to the crime.

The corporator, Anisetti Murali, was killed on July 13 at Warangal.

"As per media reports, the prime accused in the case have described motive behind the crime as previous enmity.

"Despite their confession, it is really shocking that the Warangal police, under political pressure, mentioned the leaders as accused in the case," a leader quoted the PCC president as saying in the letter.

He demanded that the chief minister direct the to order a fresh inquiry in the case.
