Copra rajapur surges in listless trade

Price of Copra rajapur surged in an otherwise listless spices market here today on rising demand from stockists and retailers.

While, Other spices ruled stable in the absence of any worthwhile buying.

Copra rajapur gained further by Rs 200 per quintal to Rs 10,700 from Monday's close Rs 10,500.

Following are today's closing rates (in Rs with previous rates in brackets):

Black pepper (per kg) 680/765 (680/765), ginger bleached (per kg) 140 (140), ginger unbleached (per kg) 160 (160), copra office Alapuzha (per quintal) 6,500 (6,500), copra office Kozhikode (per quintal) 6,400 (6,400), copra Rajapur (per quintal) 10,700 (10,500), copra edible (per quintal) 8,000 (8,000).
