Cottonseed oil cake futures drop on weak spot sentiments

At the National Commodity and Derivative Exchange counter, oil cake delivery for February month fell by Rs 17 or 0.98 per cent to Rs 1,721.50 per quintal, with an open interest of 69,780 lots. The most traded March contract also weakened by Rs 16.50 or 0.95 per cent to Rs 1,724 per with an open interest of 1,42,130 lots. Marketmen said falling prices in spot markets due to constant arrivals amid sluggish demand from animal feed makers mainly impacted futures prices.
