Councillor, two others drown in river

Three including a councillor drowned in the Bandi River in today after they stepped into the water for taking a bath.

Councillor of Phalna town, along with Jhumar Jeet and Harish Balawat drowned in the river, Kotwali SHO Himanshi Jangid said.



Balawat drowned while trying to save the other two, the SHO said.

Their bodies were fished out and will be handed over to the family members following post mortem, he said.
