Mohd Khalid and Shama Khalid were arrested recently for the murder of 47-year-old Sanjay Rohilla, police said today.
After analysing call records which showed that Shama Khalid and Rohilla had spoken several times before he was killed, police interrogated the Khalids who confessed that they killed the producer with help from two other associates.
During investigation, Mohd Khalid told police that the producer and and his wife were working together and even ran a dance academy.
"While working Sanjay developed one side liking towards the woman and started pestering her. This matter came to the notice of the husband who warned him but he didn't mend his ways," A K Ojha, Additional Commissioner of Police, South-West District, said.
He said the couple planned to kill Rohilla and invited him to their house on June 6 on the pretext of having a cocktail party.
After the producer came to their house, the couple gave him alcohol and killed him. His head and limbs were severed with knife and iron blade.
Rohilla was found butchered inside the flat at Shyam Vihar in southwest Delhi a week later.
