CPI(M) member arrested for alleged rape

CPI(M) member Rup Kumar Gupta was arrested by police from Mirzapur area after a woman alleged that Gupta had raped here a number of times and was also blackmailing.

The woman further alleged that Gupta had clicked some of her pictures in his mobile phone and was blackmailing her over the pictures.

Gupta is employed in the library of the Burdwan university.
