The Congress Working Committee, the party's highest decision-making body, will meet on February 17 and is likely to discuss the schedule for its plenary session that will ratify Rahul Gandhi's election as its president, a senior leader said today.
"The Congress Working Committee will meet on February 17 at 4 PM," AICC general secretary Janardan Dwivedi told PTI.
Asked about the agenda of the meeting, he said it was likely to discuss the schedule for the Congress plenary session which is expected to be held soon.
Sources said the AICC plenary session, which will ratify Gandhi's election as Congress president, is likely to be held before the second part of Parliament's Budget Session starts on March 5.
The session could be convened later this month, the sources said.
The party is considering holding it either in Delhi or in Mohali, near Chandigarh. However, this could not be officially confirmed.
