Moments after taking charge, he said that women security, cyber crime will be his top priority. Singh said that no stone will be left unturned to maintain the rule of law. He assured the press that holding free and fair elections in under the Election Commission guidelines will also be ensured. Singh was SSP Muzaffar Nagar and was also earlier posted in Ghaziabad as Assistant Superintendent of Police. Singh's predecessor KS Emmanuel, has been posted as IG, Meerut range.
