Delhi CS assault: AAP MLA Praveen Kumar questioned

The Police today questioned MLA for nearly five hours in connection with the alleged assault on

and another MLA were summoned for questioning yesterday. Dutt did not turn up as he was in He said he will come for questioning on Monday, the police said.

Kumar, the Jangpura MLA, arrived at the station at around 4pm and was questioned till 9pm, said Harendra Singh, additional of police (north).

The MLA's role in the case is under investigation as he was present at Arvind Kejriwal's residence, when the alleged assault took place on the night of February 19.

Earlier this week MLA was questioned. Rajesh Rishi, who too was present at the time of the incident, was questioned last week.

Eleven MLAs, apart from Kejriwal, his V K Jain and Deputy Manish Sisodia, were present during the meeting when Prakash was allegedly attacked.

On February 23, a police team examined the CCTV surveillance system installed at the chief minister's residence in Civil Lines area and seized the hard disc; the forensic report is still awaited.

Two other MLAs - Amanatullah Khan and - were arrested in the case. A city court today extended by 14 days the judicial custody of Khan and Jarwal.

Jain was also questioned in connection with the case.

The alleged assault on the has triggered a bitter tussle between the government and its bureaucracy.
