Demonetisation has benefited only industrialists, banks: UP CM

Hitting out at the Centre for demonetisation, Chief Minister today said it has benefited only industrialists and banks while affecting normal life of the poor and farmers.

Yadav was talking to reporters on the sidelines of a function at the house of UP Minister Shailendra Yadav.

To a question, he said that so far one crore applicants have got themselves registered for government's ambitious smart phone scheme.

Stressing that his was working for welfare of all sections of the society, he cited various schemes like distribution of for youth, 'Kanya Vidhyadhan' for girls and 'Lohia Avas Yojna''.

Farmers are being provided help by the state from its own resources in the event on hailstorm and they are given free irrigation facility, power, fertiliser and seeds by the state, he said.

The UP CM said his was also extending help to army jawans martyred while protecting the country's borders.
