Dr Reddy's Foundation today said it is launching a nation-wide campaign 'Breaking Barriers at Workplace' from tomorrow as a curtain raiser to mark International Day for persons with disabilities (PwD) on December 3.
Satish Reddy, Chairman of Dr Reddy's Laboratories and Chairman of Dr Reddy's Foundation, said the event will be flagged off by Janardhan Reddy, GHMC Commissioner and 150 bikers will ride out across the city to kick start the national campaign.
The key objective of the event will be to draw attention to the rights of people with disability, he said.
The campaign will travel to 12 states over 12 months and touch the cities, where Dr Reddy's Foundation operates training centres for persons with disabilities.
At each of these cities, the foundation will partner with the bikers fraternity and PwD supporters to conduct similar rallies and will organise workshops for employers to sensitise as well as encourage them to endorse an inclusive workforce.
The campaign will come to a close on the International Day for Persons with Disability in 2018, he added.
