Eighteen injured in truck-bus collision

The mishap occurred last night when the bus, taking a turn towards Shivajinagar terminus near the busy Central Observatory square, collided with a speeding truck coming from opposite direction resulting in minor injuries to as many as 18 passengers including the bus driver.

A traffic signal pole was damaged by the truck, they added.

The injured, undergoing treatment at government-run Sassoon General hospital, were stated to be out of danger, police said.
