The legend was originally buried next to his mother in the crypt located inside the granite and marble mausoleum at the Forest Hill Cemetery in Memphis, Tennessee.

But they were removed and reburied at Graceland after someone tried to steal Presley's body.

Now, celebrity auctioneer Darren Julien is selling the crypt, which has remained empty since then, to the highest bidder as part of his 'Music Icons' auction later this month, the Daily Mail reported.

Julien says the winning bid from the auction will receive the crypt, opening and closing of the vault for burial, a memorialisation inscription and use of a chapel for a committal service. Transportation and funeral home charges are not included.

Apart from the crypt, the auction also features a number of other Elvis memorabilia, including a pair of champagne glasses that he and his ex-wife Priscilla used at their wedding, which is expected to fetch between USD 400 and USD 600.

His blue suede jackets is up for sale as are a pair of sunglasses. The items are expected to bring in between USD 4,000 and USD 6,000 apiece.

One of Jimi Hendrix's guitars and a pair of Eric Clapton's sunglasses are all a part of the auction in Beverley Hills on June 23 and 24.
