An enginners association today wrote to the Delhi Assembly speaker seeking action against the committee of government undertakings (CGU) for allegedly insulting senior officials of the Delhi Jal Board (DJB).
The committee, however, rejected the allegation.
If no action is taken then it will "go on protest" till morale of the DJB employees is restored, the association said in a release.
According to the release, the alleged incident took place when senior DJB officials went to meet the committee today to discuss policy issues.
However, AAP MLA and chairman of the committee of government undertaking, Vishesh Ravi, denied the allegation.
He claimed that on the contrary, it was the DJB officials who were rude to the committee members.
Ravi said the committee questioned the DJB officials on why were the funds not reaching the regional offices due to which crucial work was getting hampered.
"But the officials were rude and started shouting at us. The committee has decided to refer the matter to the Privilege Committee of the Delhi Legislative Assembly," he said.
