The film fraternity people took to their Twitter accounts to praise the promo and Salman, who stars as a rowdy undercover agent called Tiger.

The 1 minute 31 second trailer starts with a voice-over by the 47-year-old actor that helps the viewer guess the storyline of the film. Later, the brawny actor is shown jumping from a cliff and hitting gangsters with an intense look on his face.

However, the look of his co-star Katrina Kaif has not been released yet. The film, directed by Kabir Khan, is set for a Eid release this year.

"Killer first look 'Ek Tha Tiger', wow, can't wait to see this one Salman Khan. Awesome," Arjun Rampal tweeted.

"Today Feels like 1of those days where I want to speak my mind ! On a positive note saw the trailer of EK THA TIGER n Omg ! Salman Rocksss !!!," posted Preity Zinta

"'Ek Tha Tiger' trailer is super awesome.. Way to go Kabir Khan," said Anurag Kashyap.

"EK THA TIGER - will roar the loudest at the box off this EID- Salman Khan's outstanding performance," tweeted Riteish Deshmukh.

The film's director Kabir is overjoyed by the reaction and said, "Good morning... It's nice to wake up and see that Ek Tha Tiger is the top trending topic on twitter."
