Dejected over not getting the marks she expected in the higher secondary examinations, a teenage girl has allegedly committed suicide in her house. Thamaraiselvi (17) of Myleripalayam area here was found hanging from the ceiling of her house last evening when all the family members were away, police said today. Relatives told police that the girl was expecting more than 1,100 of a total of 1,200 for the examinations, but was upset when she got only 1,088 marks, when the results were announced on Friday last. The girl's body was later handed over to relatives after postmortem at the Government Hospital today.
