In all 28 men and eleven women teams will battle for supremacy in the five-day national event at the Peddem Sports Complex.
Addressing the media, FAG president Benjamin Silva said, "It gives me immense pleasure and great joy to announce that the state will host its first ever futsal national event. Being the defending champions in both categories - men and women - it makes it even more special to host it.
"The Senior National Futsal Championship is planned with lot of future opportunities for our Indian futsal players. Altogether 39 teams will be participating in this edition and will fight for the supremacy, which also includes 11 women's team."
"The FAG will simultaneously organise The Futsal Level-1 referee and coaching courses during the nationals. Alex Astrogas from Spain (AMF Referee Instructor) and Christian Roldan from Italy (AMF Coach Instructor) will conduct the three-day referee course, added Benjamin Silva.
