A head clerk of Madhya Pradesh government's electrical safety department was today nabbed for allegedly taking a bribe of Rs 3,500, Lokayukta police said.
Pramod Kumar (58) was caught at his office in Bharatpur while accepting a bribe of Rs 3,500 from a contractor to get his license renewed for doing business, said Ujjain Lokayukta Superintendent of Police (SP) Dilip Soni.
"We laid the trap on the complaint of the contractor," he said, adding a case under relevant sections of Prevention of Corruption Act was registered.
